As a result of a crash and vehicle fire along the inner loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) prior to US 40 (Baltimore National Pike), all inner loop lanes are closed but the right shoulder is open to traffic. All lanes are now open on the outer loop with the exception of the left shoulder. Inner loop delays extend back to I-95 and the outer loop extends to I-795. This will cause subsequent delays along I-95, I-795, I-70 and ramps that connect to I-695.          

The State Highway Administration is assisting with crash cleanup and traffic operations at the crash scene. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the westside of I-695 and seek alternate routes.
