Major Programs

These large-scale programs, many permanent and durable, many new and innovative, address important transportation problems in Maryland.

Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP)

CTP is the State’s six-year capital budget, touching every county. It is a major planning document prepared in cooperation with local and State leaders.

I-270 Corridor Innovative Congestion Management

This is a “design-build” highway project that worked with private industry to tackle some of the most congested roads in the country.

Maryland Statewide Transportation Model

This model uses data on the State’s highways to drive planning and systems operations.

Traffic Relief Plan (TRP)

TRP, including a $9 billion public-private partnership (P3), is an ambitious proposal to relieve congestion in key areas around Baltimore and the nation’s capital.
