(November 3, 2010) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is temporarily closing a segment of MD 25 (Falls Road) in the Butler community of Baltimore County to perform pipe repairs underneath MD 25 between 8 p.m. Friday, November 5 and 5 a.m. Monday, November 8.

To safely accomplish this work, SHA is temporarily closing Falls Road to all traffic between MD 128 (Butler Road) and MD 88 (Black Rock Road).  The road will be closed to all local traffic between south of Stringtown Road and north of the Butler Volunteer Fire Department.  SHA has informed local emergency services of the weekend closure.
  

Motorists traveling along MD 25 between Hunt Valley and destinations north of Butler will be directed to use the following detour route along State highways:

Northbound:  Turn left onto MD 128 (Butler Road).  Take MD 128 west to MD 30 (Hanover Pike) north to Hampstead.  Turn right onto MD 88 (Lower Beckleysville Road) east.  Go through the roundabout and continue on MD 88 (Black Rock Road) east back to MD 25.

Southbound: Turn right onto MD 88 (Black Rock Road) west to Hampstead.  Go through the roundabout and continue on MD 88 (Lower Beckleysville Road) west to Hampstead.  Turn left onto MD 30 (Hanover Pike) south.  Take MD 30 south to MD 128 east.  Turn left onto MD 128 east.  Take MD 128 east back to MD 25.

In case of inclement weather, the work will occur during the weekend of November 12.
