Motorists Should Expect a Daytime Flagging Operations on MD 60
(November 14, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a resurfacing project on MD 60 (Leitersburg Pike) between MD 418 (Ringgold Pike) and MD 62 (Little Antietam Road) in Leitersburg on November 18. The work is expected to be completed by mid-December, weather permitting.
Crews will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A flagging operation will be in place to guide drivers. The project includes patching, resurfacing, and restriping.
The work will be performed by contractor F.O. Day Company, Inc. of Rockville, MD. Electronic signage, barrels and cones will help guide motorists safely though the work zone.
The State Highway Administration maintains safety in work zones for our crews as well as motorists. Drivers need to stay alert, stay focused, look for reduced speed limits as well as driving pattern changes, and slow down in construction zones.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
