MD 147 sign
Starting Monday, Motorists Can Expect Weekday Lane Closures, Flagging Operations on MD 147 in Glen Arm and on MD 24 in Edgewood through late December
(November 14, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin repairing pavement on MD 147 (Harford Road) between Notchcliff Road and Long Green Pike in Glen Arm, Baltimore County. Crews will also improve MD 24 (Emmorton Road) between north of the Aberdeen Proving Ground – Edgewood Area South Gate and MD 755 (Edgewood Road) in Harford County beginning on Monday, November 18. Both pavement improvement projects should be complete by late-December, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect daily single-lane closures between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Motorists using both roads during construction will be guided by a flagging operation.
The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
