(September 11, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will make roadway surface improvements on MD 91 (Gamber Road/Emory Road) and MD 140 (Baltimore Boulevard) in Finksburg starting this Sunday, September 13 at 8 p.m. Both projects are expected to be completed this fall.
Crews will work on MD 140 between MD 879 (Cedarhurst Road) and Old Westminster Pike Sunday night through Friday morning from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work will require single lane closures with a flagging operation.
The work on MD 91 will require two separate road closures:
- MD 91 will be closed between MD 140 and Cedarhurst Road starting this Sunday through late September. Motorists will be detoured using MD 879.
- MD 91 will be closed between MD 140 and Bloom Road starting in late September and ending by Mid October. Motorists will be detoured using Old Gamber Road.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
