I-83 sign
September 16, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will install a new pipe to the I-83 Bridges over Padonia Road in Baltimore County beginning Friday, September 18. Crews will close the westbound Padonia Road ramp to southbound I-83 (Harrisburg Expressway) at 10 p.m. on Friday.
The closure is needed so crews can install a new pipe and patch with concrete. The ramp is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
The closure is part of a project to replace the I-83 bridges over Padonia Road and add a ramp and safety improvements to the interchange. The project is expected to be complete by spring 2022. Learn more about the project HERE.
