Weekend Ramp Detours to Begin 9 p.m. Friday Night, Ending 5 a.m. Monday
(June 9, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will repair sections of concrete pavement along two ramps at the MD 122 (Security Boulevard) interchange with northbound I-695 (Baltimore Beltway inner loop) in Baltimore County the weekend of June 12.
Beginning 9 p.m. Friday evening, the State Highway Administration will close two interchange ramps to remove older sections of concrete pavement and pour new concrete. The ramp will remain closed through the weekend as the newly poured concrete cures before opening the ramp to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, June 15. In case of inclement weather, the work will be performed the following weekend.
Crews will repair concrete along two interchange ramp movements, with ramp closures and detours in effect this weekend:
- Right-turn ramp from westbound MD 122 to northbound I-695
- Detour: Northbound Rolling Road to eastbound MD 26 (Liberty Road) to northbound I-695.
- Left-turn ramp from eastbound MD 122 to northbound I-695
- Detour: Southbound I-695 (outer loop) to eastbound I-70 Local, stay left to use for turn- around by Park and Ride lot to westbound I-70 and northbound I-695.
Drivers on MD 122 are advised to use I-70 or MD 26 (Liberty Road) as alternate routes to reach I-695.
Contractor Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium will perform the $109,000 pavement repair.
The State Highway Administration is Serious About Safety. Pedestrians and motorists are urged to remain alert and avoid distractions when traveling through work zones and move over or slow down.
