SHA will host an informational meeting for the public about possible design plans for the Northbound US 29 (Columbia Pike) Project to construct an additional lane between Middle Patuxent River and MD 175 (Little Patuxent Parkway) in Howard County.
This safety and congestion relief project will improve the only remaining two-lane section along the US 29 corridor between I-70 and Montgomery County.  In addition to widening the roadway SHA plans to improve access to Gales Lane, Old Columbia Road, and Rivers Edge Road.

Businesses, community organizations and residents are encouraged to attend and review the design alternatives under consideration. There will not be formal presentations.  Display areas will illustrate the proposed alternatives.  SHA representatives will be available to answer project-related questions and record comments.  Updated project information is also available at roads.maryland.gov
