Beginning tomorrow night, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will temporarily detour traffic on Edgewood Drive between the intersection of US 40 (Dual Highway) and Mt. Aetna Road near Hagerstown.  The detour is part of SHA’s $7 million project to improve the US 40/Edgewood Drive intersection. 

As crews begin to install the waterline across Edgewood Drive, through traffic along Edgewood Drive will be detoured between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly beginning Tuesday through Thursday; local access will be maintained for area residents.  Those traveling south on Edgewood Drive will be detoured west onto Mt. Aetna Road to US 40.  Motorists traveling on US 40 wishing to access Edgewood Drive/Robinwood Drive will be detoured east onto Mt. Aetna Road to Edgewood Drive/Robinwood Drive.
