Expect Daytime Single, Right-Lane Closures Weekdays Through Mid-November
(October 9, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin drainage work on Monday, October 13, along a small section of the right side of westbound I-70 in the vicinity of the Pickall Drive bridge (about two miles west of I-695) in Baltimore County. The drainage work will be completed mid-November, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect daytime single-lane closures at any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Crews will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.
The $420,000 drainage work on westbound I-70 is part of the State Highway Administration’s $6.1 million areawide contract to improve safety and operations along State highways in Baltimore and Harford counties. The contractor is Concrete General, Inc. of Gaithersburg.
