*** TRAFFIC ALERT *** STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO PATCH PAVEMENT ON MD 140 (REISTERSTOWN ROAD) AND AT THE I-695/MD 542 INTERCHANGE NEXT WEEK

​Starting Monday, Motorists Can Expect Work with Lane Closures on MD 140 and Ramp Closures/Detours at I-695/MD 542 Interchange. 

(June 20, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin patching pavement on a segment of MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) and three interchange ramps at the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway)/MD 542 (Loch Raven Boulevard) interchange in Baltimore County on Monday, June 24. All work schedules are weather permitting.   

On Monday at 9 a.m., contractor crews will begin work on MD 140 between Stocksdale Avenue and I-795. Motorists can expect temporary daytime single-lane closures and traffic shifts 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. weekdays and if needed, overnight single lane closures 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. Sunday – Thursday. Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium is the contractor. The $250,000 project will be complete by early July.  

Also on Monday, at 9 p.m., contractor crews will begin work at the I-695/MD 542 interchange, with overnight interchange ramps closures/detours in effect 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. the next day. C. J. Miller, Inc. of Hampstead is the contractor. The $212,000 project will be complete in late June. Crews will work the following schedule: 

​The State Highway Administration’s contractors will use portable digital message boards to advise travelers of upcoming work and will use temporary traffic signs, barrels and cones to guide travelers through the work zone and any lane closures or ramp detour routes.
