Drivers Can Expect Temporary Daytime and Overnight Ramp, Lane, and Shoulder Closures on I-95 and I-695 Week of October 15 – October 20
(October 13, 2023) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration has scheduled temporary lane and ramp closures on projects on I-95 and I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) in Baltimore County between Sunday night, October 15 and Friday afternoon, October 20. Temporary shoulder closures and any construction work behind concrete work zone barriers will also be permitted at any time.
I-695/I-95 Southwest Interchange
Temporary overnight ramp and lane closure are required as part of the ongoing rehabilitation project for 10 bridges within the interchange. Learn more about the multi-bridge project

I-695 TSMO I-70 to MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard)
The State Highway Administration will also continue temporary overnight shoulder and lane closures along sections of I-695 starting Sunday night, October 15, weather permitting. Temporary daytime lane and shoulder closures along sections of I-695 will be permitted 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The State Highway Administration understands temporary ramp and lane closures can be an inconvenience, but this work is necessary to ensure a safe and reliable transportation system. Motorists are asked to reduce speeds approaching and while in active work zones.
Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused, look for reduced speed limits as well as driving pattern changes, and slow down in construction zones.
