​Daytime Single-Lane Closures Near MD 32 Interchange Started This Week 

(September 27, 2023) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration began work this week to clean and repair an underground pipe at westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road) over Franklin Branch in Anne Arundel County. All work is scheduled for completion by the end of November, weather permitting.

State Highway Administration contractors Covington Machine & Welding of Annapolis and PDI Sheetz Construction Corporation of Linthicum Heights will perform the necessary repairs. Crews will install a temporary water diversion, clean the underground pipe, repair any deteriorated sections, and install rebar and concrete inside of the pipe.

Drivers along westbound MD 175 approaching the MD 32 interchange should prepare for daytime shoulder and single-lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
