Motorists Can Expect Temporary Lane Closures
(July 7, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a resurfacing project on Monday, July 10, to improve the pavement and ride quality along a 1.2-mile section of MD 157 (Peninsula Expressway) in eastern Baltimore County. The $942,000 project spans the area from north of the drawbridge over Bear Creek to Merritt Boulevard, and is expected to be complete by fall, weather permitting.
State Highway Administration contractor Gray and Son Inc., of Timonium, will patch, mill and resurface this section of MD 157. Starting Monday, crews will work weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with single-lane closures for two-way traffic through the work zone where needed.
