Lane Closures Expected to Remain Through Evening Rush Hour
(August 17, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is working with the City of Westminster to repair a water main break along MD 140 (Baltimore Boulevard) in the Westminster area of Carroll County. To facilitate repairs, two lanes – the right travel lane and turn lane – are closed along MD 140 eastbound just east of Leidy Road. The work is expected to last through the evening rush hour and complete overnight.
There are signs, barrels and cones to alert motorists about the lane closure and work zone. Motorists should expect delays if traveling through this section of MD 140.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
