Weekend Lane Closures
 

Montgomery/Prince George’s County
•  Westbound Intercounty Connector (ICC/MD 200) at Georgia Avenue (MD 97) – Tolling system
upgrades – Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, westbound traffic will be detoured south on Georgia Avenue (MD 97) to west on Norbeck Road, to East Gude Drive, to north on FrederickRoad (MD 355), north on Shady Grove Road back to westbound ICC/MD 200. (MDTA Project) New  ​

Anne Arundel County
• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road/Jessup Road) between National Business Parkway and MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) – Utility relocation – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
 
• MD 3 (Crain Highway) between Conway Road and Carver Road - Gas main installation - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
 
Baltimore County
• MD 45 (York Road) between north of Padonia Road and Wight Avenue – Resurfacing/Water main replacement – Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Frederick County
• MD 77 (Rocky Ridge Road) between Sunny Way and MD 76 (Motters Station Road) – Patching – Single lane closures with flagging operation from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. This project is expected to take two months to complete, weather permitting.

• MD 144 (Old National Pike) bridge over the Monocacy River – Maintenance work – Starting Feb. 20, expect single lane closures with a flagging operation 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work is expected to take one week. New

Garrett County
•  US 40A between US 219 north and I-68 exit 24 (Lower New Germany Road) – Bridge beam installation – Starting Monday, Feb. 17, the road will be closed 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Garrett County Government Solid Waste and Recycling Facility, on US 40A, will remain accessible. Work is expected to be complete by Friday, Feb. 21. New
 
Howard County
• Northbound I-95 between MD 100 and Patapsco River (Howard/Baltimore County line) – Resurfacing and guardrail – Single and double lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Work will start on northbound I-95 and then switch to southbound.

• MD 32 between Guildford Road and the Middle Patuxent Bridge – Resurfacing –Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Montgomery County
• MD 28 (Norbeck Road) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and Baileys Lane – Intersection improvements – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
• US 29 (Colesville Road) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and St. Andrews Way (near Sligo Creek Parkway) - Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between north of Goldmine Road and south of Holiday Drive - Bypass construction – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
 
• MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) between MD 410 (East-West Highway) and Manor Road – Resurfacing project – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
Montgomery/Prince George’s County

Worcester County
• MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) between US 50 (Ocean Gateway) and MD 528 (Coastal Highway) – Guardrail, lighting and overhead signage repair. On Tuesday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., MD 90 eastbound will be closed, and on Wednesday, MD 90 westbound will be closed 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. New 
 
 
Long-Term Closures
 
Anne Arundel/Queen Anne’s County line
• HIGH-IMPACT - US 50/301 (Chesapeake Bay Bridge) – Bridge deck rehabilitation project (MDTA Project) – Westbound US 50/US 301 right lane closed 24/7 and no two-way traffic. 

Allegany County
• MD 36 (Mt. Savage Road) Bridge over Jennings Run –Bridge Replacement – MD 36 is closed and detoured until spring 2020.
 
Baltimore City
• I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit (MDTA Project) – Bridge rehabilitation project – Northbound I-895 closed and two-way traffic using southbound I-895. Use I-95 (Fort McHenry Tunnel) or I-695 (Francis Scott Key Bridge) as alternate routes. Project to last until 2021.
 
Baltimore County
• HIGH-IMPACT - Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to MD 144 (Frederick Road) – Ramp reconstruction/storm drain and electrical work for highway widening project – Ramp to close at 9 p.m. on August 5 for approximately eight months. Motorists will be guided to the I-695/MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) interchange and motorists will use the ramps to access the inner loop of I-695 back to MD 144.

• MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) and Old Court Road – BGE Reisterstown Road Electric Reliability Upgrade. Starting Monday night, crews will begin a 24-hour schedule that involves a detour of left turn movements along MD 140 and Old Court Road, a single lane closure on northbound MD 140 between McHenry Avenue and Old Court Road. Project to last through spring 2020.

• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange.

Cecil County
• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) Bridge over Big Elk Creek – Bridge replacement project – Temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic in single lane until spring 2020.
 
Charles County
•  MD 234 and Glasva School Road – Bridge railing repair – Crews will close access at the southern end of Glasva School Road and detour traffic to northbound US 301 with access restricted to local residents. Detour in effect through late spring.
 
Frederick County
• MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation– Single lane closure (24/7) guided by temporary traffic signal until summer 2020.

• MD 464 (Point of Rocks Road) Bridge over Little Catoctin Creek – Bridge replacement project – Total closure until early 2020. Motorists will be guided around the bridge project using Olive School Road to MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) to MD 17 (Petersville Road). A temporary traffic signal will be installed at MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and Olive School Road prior to the closure.

Harford County
• Old Joppa Road Bridge over I-95 (MDTA project) – Bridge replacement project – Old Joppa Road closed and locally detoured.

Howard County
• Triadelphia Road Bridge over MD 32 – Highway widening project – Eastbound Triadelphia Road will be closed and detoured until summer 2020. Westbound Triadelphia Road will be able to use existing bridge.

Montgomery County
HIGH-IMPACT – I-495 bridge over the Potomac River (American Legion Bridge) – Steel beam work. Crews are permitted to close one lane in either direction of I-495 weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through early spring.
 
• MD 124 (Midcounty Highway) between Goshen Road and Montgomery Village Avenue – Emergency underground pipe repair – An around-the-clock right lane closure is in place until crews complete the repairs. The lane should reopen in early March. New

Prince George’s County
• Kerby Hill Road/Livingston Road intersections at MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) – Interchange construction project – Crossover from Kerby Hill Rd. to Livingston Rd. across MD 210 to close and be detoured. Click here for detour routes. Crews construction bridge that will connect the roads and will be complete by the end of 2021. 

• Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202.
 
Worcester County
• Eastbound US 50 (Ocean Gateway) Bridge over the Sinpuxent Bay – Drawbridge rehabilitation work – Crews to close the eastbound (inbound) lanes near the tender house and establish two-way traffic using westbound US 50 until early-March.
