Beginning Wednesday, November 20 at 7 p.m., the Maryland Department of
Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will perform patching
work on MD 32 near Fox Chase Road as part of the phase II widening project in
Howard County. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday. Crews will also work
the same times Thursday night to early Friday morning.
Also on Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21, MDOT SHA
crews will set steel beams on Seminary Road between Hale Street and MD 192
(Forest Glen Road) in Silver Spring. The work will take place between 9 a.m. and
5 p.m. both days and will be performed using a flagging operation on Seminary
Road.
Drivers should add extra driving time during both projects.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for
motorists, as well as our crews. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving
and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.
Drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
