Utility and Traffic Signal Technicians Working to Restore Damaged Traffic Signal System Following Morning Crash

(October 15, 2019) –Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) signal technicians are working together with utility crews to repair a damaged traffic signal along MD 588 (Kenwood Avenue) at Lillian Holt Drive in Overlea. The intersection will remain closed and detoured through this evening. A morning crash severely damaged the traffic signal system that controls the intersection.

Both directions of MD 588 are being detoured using Lillian Holt Drive, Rossville Boulevard and US 1 (Belair Road). Southbound Lillian Holt Drive is closed and detoured using US 1.
