Baltimore County

• HIGH-IMPACT – Edmonson Avenue at I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) – Highway widening project – Crews will close and detour Edmonson Avenue at the I-695 bridge beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, August 23 until 5 a.m. Monday, August 26. The closure and local detour are needed for bridge work associated with the outer loop I-685 (Baltimore Beltway). new

• Eastbound I-70 ramp to the Inner loop I-695 – Routine Bridge maintenance – Routine bridge inspection on Saturday, August 24 between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. new

• Westbound I-70 ramp to the outer loop I-695 (from the park and ride) – Routine Bridge maintenance – Routine bridge inspection on Sunday, August 25 between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. new

Baltimore/Harford County

• Westbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway) on the Bridge over the Little Gunpowder Falls – Bridge rehabilitation project – Single lane closure Saturday and Sunday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Frederick County

• HIGH-IMPACT - MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation project – Beginning 10 p.m. Friday, August 23, the bridge will be closed and detoured until 5 a.m. Monday, August 26. Motorists will be guided using MD 109 (Old Hundred Road), MD 355 (Urbana Pike), MD 80 (Fingerboard Road) and MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike). new

Long-Term Closures

Allegany County

• MD 36 (Mt. Savage Road) Bridge over Jennings Run –Bridge Replacement – MD 36 is closed and detoured until September.

Anne Arundel County

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until Late-August.

Baltimore City

• I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit (MDTA Project) – Bridge rehabilitation project – Northbound I-895 closed and two-way traffic using southbound I-895. Use I-95 (Fort McHenry Tunnel) or I-695 (Francis Scott Key Bridge) as alternate routes. Project to last until 2021.

Baltimore County

• HIGH-IMPACT - Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to MD 144 (Frederick Road) – Ramp reconstruction/storm drain and electrical work for highway widening project – Ramp to close at 9 p.m. on August 5 for approximately eight months. Motorists will be guided to the I-695/MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) interchange and motorists will use the ramps to access the inner loop of I-695 back to MD 144.

• Warren Road Bridge over Loch Raven Reservoir (Baltimore City Owned Bridge) – Emergency bridge repair – Road closed until late-summer. Motorists encouraged to use MD 145 (Paper Mill Road). 

• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange.

• Bradshaw Road Bridge over I-95 (MDTA Project) – Bridge rehabilitation project – Bridge to close and traffic detoured until spring 2020.

Carroll County

• Northbound MD 32 (Sykesville Road) between Main Street and Macbeth Way – Road Widening Project –Traffic shifted until summer 2020.

Cecil County

• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) Bridge over Big Elk Creek – Bridge replacement project – Temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic in single lane until spring 2020.

Frederick County

• MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation– Single lane closure (24/7) guided by temporary traffic signal until spring 2020.

• MD 464 (Point of Rocks Road) Bridge over Little Catoctin Creek – Bridge replacement project – Total closure and local detour on July 22 until early 2020. Motorists will be guided around the bridge project using Olive School Road to MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) to MD 17 (Petersville Road). A temporary traffic signal will be installed at MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and Olive School Road prior to the closure.

• MD 478 (Knoxville Road) Bridge over Branch of the Potomac River – Bridge replacement project –MD 478 is closed through fall. Local traffic will have access up to the point of the bridge closure. Through motorists will be detoured to MD 17 (Petersville Road/Burkittsville Road) to MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and back to MD 478. Motorists may also choose US 340 as an alternate route.

Howard County

• Southbound US 1 (Washington Boulevard) between Brumbaugh Street and Bonnie View Lane – BGE utility relocation – Right lane closed until early-November.

• Triadelphia Road Bridge over MD 32 – Highway widening project – Eastbound Triadelphia Road will be closed and detoured until summer 2020. Westbound Triadelphia Road will be able to use existing bridge.

Prince George’s County

• Eastbound MD 410 (Veterans Parkway) between Pennsy Drive and US 50 (John Hanson Highway) – Slope repair – Single lane closure until late-August.

• Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202.

Washington County

• MD 68 (Lappans Road) Bridge over Winchester/Western Railroad – Bridge rehabilitation – Westbound MD 68 will be closed and detoured during phase one of construction. Beginning Monday, July 29, Motorists travelling on westbound Lappans Road will be guided to MD 632 (Downsville Pike) to westbound I-70 to southbound I-81 and back to westbound Lappans Road. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra commuting time during this closure, which will be in effect until fall.

• HIGH-IMPACT – I-68 (National Freeway) at MD 639 (Willowbrook Road) – Final traffic switch for bridge rehabilitation project – Beginning at 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, I-68 in each direction, will be closed and detoured until 6 a.m., August 28. • Southbound MD 178 (Generals Highway) between Bestgate Road and MD 450 (Defense Highway) – Sidewalk retrofit – single lane closure between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road/Jessup Road) between National Business Parkway and MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) – Utility relocation – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• MD 178 (Veterans Highway) between Sunrise Beach Road and Veterans Highway – Resurfacing – Single lane closures guided by a flagging operation Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• MD 3 (Crain Highway) between Conway Road and Carver Road - Gas main installation - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Baltimore County

• MD 45 (York Road) between north of the Towson Roundabout and Cavan Drive (just north of I-695) - Resurfacing – Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• MD 45 (York Road) between north of Padonia Road and Wight Avenue – Resurfacing/Water main replacement – Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Carroll County

• MD 32 (Sykesville Road) between MD 26 (Liberty Road) and the Liberty Reservoir Bridge – Resurfacing –Single lane closures guided by a flagging operation Sunday night through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• MD 26 (Liberty Road) Bridge over Liberty Reservoir – Bridge deck patching and repair – Single lane closure in both directions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings.

Frederick County

• St. Anthony Road at southbound US 15 – Acceleration Lane Construction – Entrance to St. Anthony from southbound US 15 closed until the fall.

• MD 77 (Rocky Ridge Road) between MD 550 (East Main Street) and Hunting Creek (near Tippin Drive) – Resurfacing – Single lane closure in both directions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until September. Crews are in final paving phase of project.

• MD 77 (Foxville Road) between Pryor Road and Stottlemyer Road – Major culvert replacement project – Total closures and detours overnights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until mid-September. From September 3 to September 30, there will be a total closure and detour of MD 77 with local access.

Montgomery County

• I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MacArthur Boulevard and the American Legion Bridge – Bridge cleaning and painting – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. through end of year. new

• MD 28 (Norbeck Road) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and Baileys Lane – Intersection improvements – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and St. Andrews Way (near Sligo Creek Parkway) - Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between north of Goldmine Road and south of Holiday Drive - Bypass construction – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• HIGH-IMAPCT - I-495/I-95 (Capital Beltway) at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge – Routine drawbridge maintenance – Test openings to occur in each direction and will intermittently close I-95 on August 29 between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. new

• US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) between Oak Street and the Howard County line – Resurfacing project – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

Washington County

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.
