National Folk Festival in Salisbury – Friday through Sunday in downtown Salisbury. Major attendance is expected. Expect heavier traffic volumes on US 13, US 13 Business, US 50 Business and the Salisbury Bypass.

Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

Montgomery County

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Prince George’s County

• HIGH-IMPACT - Northbound I-95 (outer loop I-495) at the Suitland Road Bridge – Traffic shift for bridge replacement project – Single, double and triple lane closures beginning at 8 p.m. on September 8 with all lanes open by 12 noon, September 9.
 
• Westbound US 50 Bridge over Columbia Park Road – Bridge joint repairs – Single lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings until October. new
 
Long-Term Closures

Baltimore County

• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Beginning September 12, motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange. new

Frederick County

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until early-fall.

Prince George’s County

• MD 381 (Brandywine Road) Bridge over Timothy Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour until fall.

MAJOR Closures for Next Week
 
Anne Arundel County

• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road) between Walker Drive and Reese Road – Highway widening project/paving operations – Westbound MD 174 shifted to the right The shift and left lane closure will be in effect until mid-September.

Baltimore County
 
• MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) between Sudbrook Lane and Waldron Avenue – BGE electrical work – Lane reductions and on-street parking restrictions until the end of October.

• MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) between Hospital Drive and King Avenue – Pavement patching – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Project to be complete by Late-September.
 
Howard County
 
• MD 32 between Linden Church Road and Broadwater Lane – Traffic switch for highway widening project – Crews will close two ramp movements at the MD 32 / Linden Church Road interchange:
 
• Southbound MD 32 ramp onto Linden Church Road exit-ramp: This ramp movement will be closed for two months beginning the first week of September.
 
• Also, in September, crews will use a temporary flagging operation to direct drivers along Broadwater Lane; this daytime-only traffic pattern change will take place south of the Linden Church Road interchange, allowing crews to replace two pipe culverts. Two lanes will remain open for travel outside of work hours.
 
• MD 100 between east of Snowden River Parkway and east of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.
 
Montgomery County
 
• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between White Oak Drive and MD 193 (University Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
Washington County
 
• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.
