Public Encouraged to Attend Informational Meeting on US 1/ MD 201 Project Planning Study Between Cherrywood Lane and north of Cherry Lane

WHAT:           
SHA will host an Informational Workshop to inform the public with the progress of the study to date and also present the Alternatives Retained for Detailed Study for US 1/MD 201 between Cherrywood Lane to north of Cherry Lane in Prince George’s County. Displays will be set up explaining the purpose and need for the project, design alternatives, potential environmental impacts, and related projects. SHA representatives will be available to answer any questions or concerns; there will be no formal presentation.

WHY:           
The planning study is evaluating the area for improvements along US 1/MD 201 between Cherrywood Lane and north of Cherry Lane in Prince George’s County. Improvements should support planned economic development in the area, relieve traffic congestion, and enhance safety along the US 1 and MD 201 corridors.
