(July 26, 2018) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is advising motorists of potential delays associated with the Beyoncé and Jay-Z concerts this weekend. They will be performing at FedEx Field in Landover on Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th. Performances will start at 7:30 pm on both days. Heavier traffic than usual is expected on the Capital Beltway, MD 214 and MD 202.

 

MDOT SHA will deploy additional patrols in the area to assist local police with traffic operations and be able to deploy a rapid response to help clear any disabled vehicles or crashes. MDOT SHA will also suspend any major nighttime roadwork each night in these areas.

 

Motorists area encouraged to use public transportation or carpool to the concert. Daily commuters should allow extra time to reach their destinations. Real-time traffic info is available via www.md511.org.
