(March 6, 2015) – Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) crews continue cleanup following an early morning crash involving a dump truck with a raised bed that struck the Linden Avenue overpass along the inner loop of I-495 just prior to MD 97 in Montgomery County.  The crashed occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. as the private contractor became wedged under the Linden Avenue overpass.  SHA bridge inspectors are on site and have determined that there is no structural damage to the bridge.

Crews will continue to clear the area of salt spilled on I-495 and assist with towing the truck, truck bed and plow that were dislodged through early afternoon.

As of Noon today, only the right lane remains closed.  Major delays along I-495 through this area continue and are expected through the afternoon.  For updates follow SHA on twitter @MDSHA.
