STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO HOST MD 464 BRIDGE WORKSHOP IN FREDERICK COUNTY

Interested Parties Encouraged to Attend to Provide Feedback on Detour Plans During Construction

WHAT: SHA will host an informational meeting regarding the upcoming project to replace the MD 464 (Point of Rocks Road) bridge over the Catoctin Creek in Point of Rocks, Frederick County. A formal presentation will not be given. Display areas will illustrate the proposed detour route and the new bridge. SHA representatives will be available to discuss project issues and answer questions.          
          
The bridge, built in 1933, has undergone repairs to its steel trusses and concrete deck and has reached the end of its useful life. SHA proposes closing the bridge in spring 2010 to replace the structure, and detouring traffic for approximately six months.
