(October 12, 2012) – Starting Wednesday, October 17 the State Highway Administration (SHA) will begin paving a two and one-quarter mile section of MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive) from MD 222 (Bainbridge Road) to MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) in Cecil County.

During construction, crews will implement single lane closures using flaggers Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The overlay project will be complete by early November, weather permitting.

SHA’s contractor for the $646,466 project is Harmony Construction of MD, Inc. of Wilmington, DE.  The contractor will use variable message boards, signs, cones and barrels to guide motorists through the work zone.

While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers.  Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Saver driving. Safer work zones. For everyone.
