STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO HOST INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR MD 5 CORRIDOR TRANSPORTATION STUDY IN PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY

State Highway Administration (SHA) representatives

WHAT:           
SHA will host an informational workshop on the MD 5 study, which extends from south of US 301 (Crain Highway) to north of I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Prince George’s County. Display stations will be available; information received at the workshop will be used to finalize engineering plans and environmental studies.

Surrattsville High School - Cafeteria, 6101 Garden Drive, Clinton          
          
WHY:           
The MD 5 study area, between US 301 (Crain Highway) and I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Prince George’s County. Peak hour traffic congestion continues to be an issue along MD 5, especially at signalized intersections at the southern end of the corridor. The study seeks to identify potential improvements at these locations and along the MD 5 corridor.
