(February 7, 2012) – The State Highway Administration (SHA) will temporarily close lanes on the Cambridge Creek Bridge (Market Street) on Wednesday, February 8 to conduct routine electrical bridge maintenance, weather permitting. 

Crews will direct traffic using a flagging operation on the bridge between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  If inclement weather prevents the maintenance work on Wednesday, it will occur on Thursday, February 9. 

While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers.  Slow down and don’t follow too closely.  Safer driving.  Safer work zones. For everyone.
