STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO HOST INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR MD 725 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT IN PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY

Who: State Highway Administration (SHA) representatives          
Area residents, businesses, community organizations and local officials          
          
What: In two weeks, SHA will hold an informational meeting on the upcoming MD 725 (Main Street) Bridge Replacement project in Upper Marlboro, Prince George’s County. While no formal presentation will be given, displays will be available. SHA representatives will be on hand to answer questions.           
          
When: Tuesday, March 31, 2009, 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.          
          
Where: Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School - Cafeteria          
12650 Brooke Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772          
          
Why: This summer, SHA will temporarily close the MD 725 (Main Street) Bridge over the Federal Spring Branch in Upper Marlboro. Originally built in 1928, the bridge is structurally deficient and needs to be replaced. The proposed traffic concept is to detour traffic onto a temporary bridge during construction.
