Motorists Advised to Plan for Extra Travel Time Sunday Night, March 29 and Watch for Equipment and Crews in Rolling Operation
(March 27, 2009) – Beginning Sunday, March 29, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will install rumble strips to enhance safety along the US 1 Bel Air Bypass between Water Tower Way and south of the Winters Run Bridge over US 1. Weather permitting, crews will work beginning 7 p.m. Sunday and work will be completed no later than 5 a.m. Monday morning, March 30.
Single lane closures and flagging operations will take place along sections of the US 1 Bel Air Bypass between 7 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday. The State’s contractor for this $10,000 project is M & R Management of Millersville. For your safety and the safety of the traveling public, please plan ahead for extra travel time. Look ahead for lane closures with flagging operations and a rolling operation of crews and equipment within the work zone.
