Motorists Can Expect Daytime Lane Closures, Flagging Operations Through Mid-Fall

(September 20, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will improve pavement on sections of MD 25 (Falls Road) between Padonia Road and Shawan Road in Baltimore County beginning Monday, September 23. The project will be complete mid-fall, weather permitting.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, contractor crews will work Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to patch sections of pavement along MD 25. Drivers can expect single-lane closures guided by a flagging operation.

The State Highway Administration’s contractor C. J. Miller, Inc. of Hampstead, will use cones and a flagging operation to safely guide drivers through the work zone. The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
