Crews Will Work Along MD 151 North of Sparrows Point and MD 646 Near Street Through June 2022
(March 25, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin two roadway paving projects next week, one in southeastern Baltimore County and one in northern Harford County. Both are expected to be complete by late June, weather permitting:
- MD 151 (North Point Boulevard) from New Battle Grove Road to Cove Road north of Sparrows Point in Baltimore County. Crews will conduct a $810,000 highway maintenance pavement patching, milling and resurfacing project. Temporary lane closures will be required Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- MD 646 (Prospect Road) from MD 543 (Ady Road) to MD 136 (Whiteford Road) near Street in Harford County. This $385,000 highway maintenance pavement patching project will require temporary daytime lane closures and flagging operations Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The state’s contractor for both paving projects is Allan Myers - MD Inc. of Fallston. Customers with questions about these projects may contact the MDOT SHA District Four Office at 410-229-2300 or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
