***TRAFFIC ALERT***STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO IMPROVE SAFETY AND RIDE QUALITY ON MD 140 IN BALTIMORE COUNTY STARTING MONDAY, APRIL 6

​(April 2, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a new pavement patching project on a 1.6 mile-section of MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) between Crossroads Drive/Village Queen Drive and Painters Mill Road​ in Owings Mills beginning as soon as Monday night, April 6. The pavement improvement project should be completed by late June, weather permitting.  

 Crews will mill, patch, and stripe sections of asphalt pavement on MD 140 in the project limits. Motorists can expect single-lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. 
 
The State Highway Administrator’s contractor, Allan Myers – MD, Inc. of Fallston, will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone. Flagpersons will guide motorists through intersections as needed.  
 
The State Highway Administration is Serious About Safety. Pedestrians and motorists are urged to remain alert and avoid distractions when traveling through the work zone. Motorists should obey all posted speed limits. Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
