Drivers Should Expect Single-Lane Closure Thursday Night, June 29
(June 29, 2023) – The Maryland State Highway Administration will make repairs tonight, Thursday, June 29, along a section of westbound I-695 (inner loop) prior to Exit 5 (MD 648 – Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard/Ferndale) in Anne Arundel County. Starting at 8 p.m., crews will temporarily close the right lane on the inner loop of I-695. Crews will remove a deteriorated concrete section and pour new concrete.
After concrete curing time, crews are scheduled to open the lane for travel no later than 5 a.m. Friday, weather permitting. During the work, contractor Team Cam Services LLC, of Linthicum, will use temporary traffic signs, reflective barrels and electronic arrow boards to alert and guide motorists safely through the work zone.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and remain alert when traveling through the area. The State Highway Administration understands road work can be an inconvenience but is necessary to maintain a safe and reliable transportation system for all. Customers who have questions about this work may contact the District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603.
The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
