Motorists Should Expect Delays for Utility-Related Work

(March 10, 2016) – On Saturday morning, March 12 (weather permitting), the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will intermittently close traffic at the intersection of MD 337 (Allentown Road) and Suitland Road in Prince George’s County.

Beginning at 6 a.m., SHA will allow utility crews to intermittently close access at MD 337 and Suitland Road to remove a dormant telecommunications cable.  Removing the cable will not impact telecommunications services.

Weather permitting, all lanes should reopen by 10 a.m. Saturday morning.  SHA asks for your patience as crews work to complete the work. In case of inclement weather, the work will be performed Saturday, March 19.

No detours are scheduled; law enforcement will assist crews with traffic control so that the work can be performed safely.
