(November 14, 2014) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is repairing and patching pavement on a section of MD 136 (Whiteford Road) in Harford County.  Work begins Monday, November 17 and will be complete by the end of the year, weather permitting.

The project covers more than three miles of MD 136 between US 1 (Conowingo Road) and Robinson Mill Road and includes milling (removing the top layer of pavement) and patching the pavement.

Crews are permitted to work between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays if necessary. Motorists may encounter temporary lane closures on MD 136 and the contractor will use flaggers, barrels, cones and signs to direct two-way traffic through the one-lane work area.

The contractor will mill and patch the pavement late fall 2014 and then return early spring 2015 to perform final resurfacing of the pavement.  SHA’s contractor for the $1.9 million project is American Infrastructure of Fallston.
