SHA TEMPORARILY CLOSES SECTION OF MD 56 SOUTH OF CLEAR SPRING NEXT WEEK

(August 30, 2011) – The State Highway Administration (SHA) is temporarily closing MD 56 (Big Pool Road) south of Clear Spring in Washington County on Wednesday August 31.  The closure is located west of the Rocky Meadow Road/Charles Mill Road intersection.  Drivers will be detoured onto Angle Road then back to MD 56 during the repair project.  
SHA will begin the temporary closure at 8 a.m.  Crews will complete proactive maintenance on this section of MD 56 and will remain on site until the work is completed.  SHA should to have the project completed by Friday evening, weather permitting.
