March 31, 2011 - The State Highway Administration (SHA) is beginning a $1.3 million project to repair and resurface Falls Road (MD 25) between Shawan Road and Stringtown Road in Baltimore County.

Beginning Monday, April 4, crews will patch and resurface Falls Road.   Lane closures and flagging operations may occur along sections of Falls Road at any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

SHA advises motorists to plan ahead for extra travel time along Falls Road this spring and summer, look ahead for flagging operations, and to use caution when entering and exiting driveways within the work zone.

The Falls Road repair and resurfacing project is made possible through Governor Martin O’Malley’s aggressive management of the requirements of the landmark American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  This project, together with other ARRA projects, is stimulating Maryland’s economy by preserving thousands of jobs.  The State’s contractor for this project is Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium.  Weather permitting, the project will be complete summer 2011.
