What:

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will host an informal public meeting to present a traffic study of MD 166 (South Rolling Road) between MD 144 (Frederick Road) and Bloomsbury Avenue in the Catonsville area of Baltimore County.

When:

Wednesday, September 29 from 7:30 - 9 p.m.  The presentation will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Hillcrest Elementary School - Cafeteria
1500 Frederick Road, Catonsville MD 21228

Why:
In recent months, local residents and elected officials have expressed concerns about speeding, aggressive driving, pedestrian and school safety along MD 166.  In response to these concerns, SHA engineers studied engineering options to modify driver behavior.

Interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn about the MD 166 improvement study.  SHA staff will present results of the study and citizens will have an opportunity to provide comments and suggestions regarding MD 166.

Citizens who would like additional information on the study or the upcoming meeting may contact Ms. Erin Kuhn, SHA Assistant District Engineer – Traffic or Mr. Eric Tombs, SHA Traffic Team Leader for western Baltimore County.  They may be reached at SHA’s District Four Office in Hunt Valley at 410-229-2380, toll-free at 1-866-998-0367 or by email: SHADistrict4@sha.state.md.us.
