(September 7, 2010) - The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is continuing a $212,000 project to resurface MD 146 (Dulaney Valley Road) from north of Timonium Road to the bridge over the Loch Raven Reservoir.  SHA suspended work during the Labor Day weekend and is resuming the project this week.

The resurfacing project will protect the pavement from weather-related deterioration and improve the pavement’s ride quality.  This work follows SHA’s recent project to mill and patch deteriorated pavement along this segment of MD 146; the pavement repair work was completed early summer.

During road work, temporary lane closures and flagging operations along sections of Dulaney Valley Road may occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The resurfacing project is scheduled for completion in mid-October.  The State’s contractor for this project is Slurry Pavers, Inc. of Glen Allen, Va.
