State Highway Administration (SHA) representatives, Businesses, community organizations and residents          
          
WHAT:           
          
SHA will hold a public information meeting regarding the upcoming project to replace the MD 545 (Blue Ball Road) Bridge over Little Elk Creek in Cecil County. The meeting will acquaint the public with the project and provide a platform for discussion. Display areas will be set up explaining the proposed work. SHA representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss project issues, timeline and detour information. No formal presentation will be given. The public may arrive at any time and walk through at their own pace.

WHY:           
          
The MD 545 corridor carries thousands of motorists each day; replacing the structurally deficient bridge over Little Elk Creek is an essential service to the local community. Although funding has not yet been identified for this project, the bridge is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. As such, public comment on impacts to this historic property is required.
