Expect Daytime Lane Closures Monday-Friday and Overnight Lane Closures Sunday-Thursday through late June
(May 29, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is repairing sections of concrete pavement along southbound I-795 (Northwest Expressway) in Baltimore County beginning Monday, June 1. The repair work will continue through late June, weather permitting.
Beginning as soon as 9 a.m. Monday, contractor crews will repair and patch concrete pavement where needed on southbound I-795 between Owings Mills Boulevard and I-695 (Baltimore Beltway). Crews will work on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays- Fridays with single-lane and double lane closures in effect. The contractor will also work overnights 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sundays-Thursdays with a double lane closure at 9 p.m. (one lane of three will remain open to traffic).
The State Highway Administrator’s contractor for the concrete repair work is Priority Construction of Baltimore. Contractor crews will use temporary traffic signs and cones to control traffic through the work zone.
