Expect Weekday Lane Closures with Flagging Operations Through Late November
(October 3, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin another pavement improvement project on MD 25 (Falls Road) in Baltimore County as soon as Tuesday, October 7. The work should be completed by late November, weather permitting.
Crews will patch sections of pavement where needed along MD 25 between MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) and MD 128 (Butler Road). During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations to control two-way traffic on this section of MD 25 at any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. Crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.
This $300,000 pavement maintenance project is part of a $7.9 million State Highway Administration contract to improve pavement conditions and safety on State highways in Baltimore County. Contractor crews are completing a $352,000 pavement patching project along MD 25 between Beckleysville Road and MD 137 in northern Baltimore County.
The contractor is C.J. Miller, LLC of Hampstead.
