Motorists Can Expect Weekday Lane Closures, Flagging Operations Through Early Fall

(August 28, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin patching pavement on a section of MD 165 (Baldwin Mill Road) in the Baldwin area of Harford County as soon as Tuesday morning, September 2. The work on the two-mile section of MD 165, from the Baltimore County line (Little Gunpowder Falls, north of Lynch Lane) to MD 152 (Fallston Road) will be completed in mid-October, weather permitting.

Contractor crews will work on weekdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations to control two-way traffic on MD 165. Crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.

The $315,000 project is part of a $13.6 million State Highway Administration highway maintenance contract to repair, patch, mill and resurface pavements on State highways in Harford County.  The contractor is Allan Myers MD, Inc. of Fallston.
