Implementing new lane configuration starting this Thursday
(July 15, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will realign/adjust traffic signal heads, install new signage and restripe MD 328 at MD 404 to implement a new lane configuration starting this Thursday, July 17. This work will complete an intersection efficiency improvement project that includes new MD 328 left turn lanes and reconstruction of the traffic signals.
Work hours this Thursday will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic signals may be off for extended periods and intermittent full closures of MD 328 at the intersection are possible.
Drivers are urged to reduce speed approaching the intersection and be alert for police direction.
The State Highway Administration appreciates customers’ patience during construction as we work to improve Maryland’s transportation system. Drivers are asked to stay alert, focused, and be aware of reduced speed limits and changing driving patterns in the work zone. Slow down and move in work zones. It’s the law.
