Plan Seeks to Improve Safety, Access and Connections Throughout Area
(January 23, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host a public open house, 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, January 30, to present proposed improvements along northbound MD 2 in Anne Arundel County from US 50 to Arnold Road. - new sidewalks and bike lanes compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act to promote pedestrian and cyclist safety,
- improved lighting to enhance visibility and safety at key locations,
- drainage improvements to reduce flooding and water accumulation,
- enhanced accessibility features for individuals with disabilities and
- modifications to the existing intersection of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard/Old Frederick Road.
