Starting Tuesday, Motorists Should Expect Overnight Lane Closures, Flagging Operations

(August 28, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin to improve the pavement on the MD 129A (Brooks Robinson Drive) interchange connector between MD 129 (Park Heights Avenue) and Stevenson Road in Baltimore County on Sunday, September 8. This will be overnight work that is expected to be complete by late September, weather permitting.

Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday night, contractor crews will patch, mill and resurface Brooks Robinson Drive. They will continue to work overnight, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, until expected completion. During work hours, motorists can expect lane and shoulder closures with flagging operations.

The $160,000 paving project is part of the State Highway Administration’s highway maintenance program to improve safety and ride quality of pavements on primary state highways within Baltimore and Harford counties. Contractor C. J. Miller, Inc. of Hampstead will perform the paving work.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
