(April 8, 2024) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a drainage repair on MD 725 (Old Marlboro Pike) at John Rogers Boulevard in Upper Marlboro. The repair project will be complete by late summer, weather permitting.

The drainage project will address a deteriorated culvert across the north leg of John Rogers Boulevard near MD 725. Beginning mid-April, crews will close the north leg of John Rogers Boulevard at MD 725. Traffic will be detoured onto Brown Station Road. Advanced signage will be in place to notify drivers and pedestrians of the road conditions ahead. The road closure and associated detour will be in place for the duration of the project.

Crews will work during off-peak hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The State Highway Administration understands this work will inconvenience some travelers and asks all motorists to please stay alert and be patient as you pass through the area.

A steel plate is currently in place until the repair is complete.
