Single-Lane Closures, Flagging Operations Will Guide Drivers Through Work Zone
(October 25, 2023) The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin repair work on the underground pipe under MD 307 (Williamsburg Road) northeast of Gravel Branch Road near Hurlock beginning October 30. The work is expected to be completed by December 1, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday, crews will be working to clean out, repair and seal the entire length of the underground pipe that carries a branch of Marshyhope Creek under MD 307. This project will extend the service life of the pipe. Motorists can expect single-lane and shoulder closures. Drivers will be guided through the work zone with a flagging operations for the duration of the project.
The State Highway Administration understands roadwork can be an inconvenience for some motorists but is necessary to maintain a safe and reliable transportation system. Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused, look for reduced speed limits as well as driving pattern changes and slow down in work zones.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
