Travelers Advised to Look Ahead for Upgraded Traffic Signal; New Turn Lanes Open Monday, June 19
(June 15, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration and its contractor will work overnight this Sunday, June 18 into Monday morning, June 19, to activate an upgraded new traffic signal system at the MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard)/Honeygo Boulevard intersection in White Marsh. The new traffic signal will allow for safe operation and accommodate new turn lane movements at the intersection.
The traffic signal activation and final traffic pattern is expected to be in operation by 5 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.
As part of the overnight work, crews will remove barriers and open new turn lanes constructed as part of the $4.4 million project to improve safety and access to White Marsh businesses and the Maryland Transit Administration’s Park and Ride lot at the southwest corner of the intersection. Learn more about the project here.
Contractor C.J. Miller Inc., of Hampstead, will conduct the work. Customers with questions about this or other projects on state-maintained roads in Baltimore County may call the State Highway Administration District 4 Office – Construction Division at 410-229-2300 or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367.
The State Highway Administration understands roadwork can be an inconvenience for some motorists and asks travelers to plan for extra travel time, stay alert and be patient as you pass through the work zones.
